PPQ SS 2012

Party with PPQ seemed to be the theme at the show that closed the first day of London Fashion Week as models strutted out to a 90's playlist .  The collection was fun, feminine and seemed to wake the child like spirit in all of us.  With the likes of Lydia Rose Bright and Peaches Geldof in the frow, this certainly was one mixed bag.

The show began with the sugary light colours and flirty dresses, playsuits and bustiers.  There were purples, pinks and yellows, lots of razor straight hair (apart from the pink dip dyed style which I'm sure got us all wondering) and some of the most amazing platform shoes I have ever laid eyes one.  Garments had finishes such as gold chunky buttons and embroidery and plenty of the looks included bejeweled Bebaroque tights.

I read on one blog that the writer was reminded of those iconic prints that Italian label Versace are so famous for, which truth be told was exactly what I thought, but that made these pieces no less stunning than the rest of the labels pieces, which next moved onto a quirky 'western woman look' with models wearing cowboy (or is it cow girl?) hats and gun Zorro like masks, neck scarves and belts.

A final mention has to be made for the denim, which was included as part of the brand collaboration with Lee.  From double denim to being teamed with those stunning printed shirts, if I was wearing a hat I would take it off for the denim.  just stunning.
