Alexander Wang SS 2012

Alexander Wangs show slightly echoed that of Rag & Bone a day earlier with respect to the dark, sportswear influence which takes us back to his fall 2008 designs.  Known for his masculine womenswear, this year the previous winner of the CFDA./Vogue fashion fund has made no exception.  His was a collection that has already shown influence in the coming seasons, as he opened his show with mesh over tangerine, which colour company Pantone are already saying is one of the top shades of the season.

His models walked down the runway in mesh and nylon faabrics, the models were spoting a 'just got out of the shower' look, and boy, did it work.

He then injected floral into the mix.  Not your average romantic, feminine florals mind.  No, Alexander Wang is nothing if not original.  His were blue florals that oozed confidence and showed that his designs were not for the faint hearted.

Up next were velvet creating, full of over sized pockets and exposed zips.  Models that followed wore everything from bike helmets, bandanna's and geometric prints.

With a front row full of celebrities such as Courtney Love and a runway contraption  full of mirrors, this is one look your definitely wouldn't to cross.
