Badgley Mischka SS 2012

Mark Badgley and James Mischka yesterday showed their stunning, elegant and super feminine collection yesterday, with these gorgeous evening gowns, cocktail dresses and slightly more casual two pieces.

The collection featured metallic, brocade dresses with ruffled waists, corset detail, sequins, bows and an undeniable 1940's influence.  The designers, who are best known for their beautiful 'red carpet destined' dresses started their show off with metallic pinks, purples and turquoises before moving on to more pastel shades of yellows, pomegranate and orange.

There was then an infusion of the two palettes as they moved on to show their slightly more casual side with a romper suit, pallazzo pants, maxi skirts and even an embellished bandeau.

Models were accessorized with sky high, swept back hair, statement jewellery and (unfortunately) kitten heels.  The best accessory to go with this collection...the confidence to carry it off.
