Sophie Thealett SS 2012

Two years on from winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, Sophie Thealett, better known as the woman who spent many years by the side of Jean Paul Gaultier and Azzedine Alaia, yesterday showed her collection of stunning evening and cocktail dresses.  Another designer who opted for the metallic shade as opposed to simple bold colours, had a palette of brights such as pink and orange.

There were floor length gowns, pencil skirted dresses, bowed waists, gorgeous A- Line geometric printed dresses and even a few casual items thrown in such as the block navy and green piece above right.  She accessorised her outfits perfectly with bright, pointy t-strapped shoes and somehow even managed to make that 'Croydon facelift' elegant.

Her dresses were not ones designed to impress other people, but rather to impress the wearers themselves and that was more than evident in her final look, the stunning asymmetrical gown.
