Jason Wu SS 2012

Jason Wu kicked off day 2 of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and whilst it seemed too early to determine exactly what would be the top trend for Spring Summer 2012, it appeared the Tawainese designer had decided that the monochrome look was to be a big one.

The first model of his show set the tone, walking with feathers in her hair, a beaded collar, sculpted high waisted trousers, possibly the whitest shirt ever made.  The next few models followed with outfits that took workwear sophistication to the next level.  Wu, ever known for his amazing attention to detail, appeared not to rely on bold prints but rather went for simplicity, introducing small, simple and still neutral prints.

With a front row that consisted of the likes of Lea Michelle and Anna Dell Russo, it seemed that his collection was every bit as superb as his previous ones, and then, out walked the models in beautiful pastel coloured dresses made of rich fabrics which oozed romantic innocence.

The dresses varied from full bodied gowns to simple, floaty yet playful dresses.  As beautifully crafted as ever, we'll definitely be seeing these dresses on future catwalks.
