Diane Von Furstenburg SS 2012
Whilst BCBG Maxazria are known for their amazing dresses, no one is close when it comes to dresses like CFDA President, Diane Von Furstenburg. Her show started as a white out, with clean wrap around dresses busting into the room like the first light of the day.
She then subtlety introduced pops of colour with aqua and turquoise burtsing onto the catwalk, representing the feeling of evolution that the Belgian born designer was hoping for.
Next came structured tailoring, draping was a feature, and whilst the look in undeniably masculine, she manged to keep the feminine feel that so many of her dresses are known for. This time the palette movie into brighter tones such as oranges, greens and yellows, the earthier tones DVF was aiming for, stating previously that Africa was her inspiration behind the collection 'a place of humble beginnings'
If evolution of Africa was her theory, then yet again she got it right, models then walked out with those undoubtedly DVF bold prints - a feature it could be aruged that Diane pioneered.
The prints were as bold as ever, in bright yellows, purples and oranges, showing that as ever, Diane Von Furstenburg is a force to be reckoned with, and that when it comes to printed dresses, she can't be beaten.
