Victoria by Victoria Beckham

Whilst Harper Seven Beckham was busy being announced as 'the hottest celebrity under 25' (I know, seriously who voted in that?), her mum was debuting her first diffusion line and second show of New York Fashion Week (although we're not to call it a diffusion line apaz)

The range, said to be Victoria's 'labour of love', was created to make her clothes more accessible to the masses, with prices beginning at $450 and rising to $1250.  It could not be further away from her main line, which focuses heavily on that slim, taut silhouette, with dresses so clearly full of youth and, lets face it, a lot more fun.

Whilst the collection began nice enough, with bright, flirty colours and black accents it quickly moved into the kind of prints that will make this collection (as cliched as it sounds) like Marmite.  There were prints with cats, moons and dresses that looked like they would drown anybody.

Anyone who knows me know just how much I adore all things VB, and I have no doubt that the collection will sell extremely well, but as much as it pains me to say it, I cant help feeling this is one catwalk collection that would have been better suited as a High Street collaboration...
