Victoria Beckham SS 2012

She may have suffered her fair share of criticism over the years, but nobody can say that Victoria Beckham doesn't know what she is talking about when it comes to fashion.  Arguably one of the only celebrities to successfully make it into the fashion industry, VB's had a successful year both in her personal and professional life, with the arrival of her much longed for baby girl, Harper Seven, and with a collection like this, it seems her year is about to get even better.

Victoria Beckham started off her show with 4 minutes of silence in respect for those who lost their lives 10 years ago today, in the tragic 9/11 incident that shook the world.

Her show began with an awful lot of navy and black.  Each piece was clearly constructed with the utmost care, and whats more, it;s all clothing you can see the designer herself wearing.

The dresses were tailored for a trim figure with the use of corsets, and were pieces that can be worn on occasions from the red carpet to a cocktail party, making them as versatile as her previous collections.

She then introduced that increasingly popular shade of orange, which the previous three days have shown us is clearly the colour of the season so far.

The collection continued with those razor sharp dresses before fluidly transitioning into sportswear luxe, something unexpected when it comes to someone like VB.  The pieces included over sized anoraks with drawstring detailing and oversized pocket, dresses with tennis skirts and long, floaty pleats.
