NYFW: Ralph Lauren
Theme: The evolution of a school girl with a perfect nod to the 60's.
Palette: Began with black and white, introduced monochrome checks before flowing effortlessly into jade green, yellow, scarlet and blue.
Acc: Knee high socks, glasses, Mary Jane shoes and tie's a plenty.
Beauty: Minimal make up, soft middle partings with straight hair.
Key Look: Look 51 (left) featuring a gorgeous black asymmetric dress that has a place in every womens wardrobe.
Review: Ralph Lauren manage to strike a perfect balance between the 1960's and 2014 with swinging hemlines aplenty. The show opened with a mature schoolgirl theme in a monochrome palette before being punctuated by bright summer hues of green, yellow, scarlet and blue. There was a perfect mix of masculine and feminine with a sharp all white suit hitting the catwalk one second and gorgeous bright dresses the next. Shift dresses had panels on the sides and one amazing dress was even finished with a full length cape. The best part of the show? Then man himself giving us a wave in an outfit that matched that of the show before him.

Look of the Week: Taylor Swift
What a week she’s had in the press, first her
reported split from One Direction’s golden boy Harry Styles and now this. Is no
secret that I have a MAJOR fashion crush of Taylor Swift right now (actually,
it’s an all out girl crush but you know, potayto potahto), but this dress just
takes my obsession with her to a new level! Striking a pose on the red carpet
for the People’s Choice awards, Tay Tay opted for this plunging Ralph Lauren
dress, emulating the White Out trend that was seen on runways from Calvin Klein
to Alexander Wang this season.
Completing her look with some aqua Sultra earrings and a plaited updo,
Taylor sure showed us that you actually can get along just fine without the
current teen heart throb on your arm!

Spring Clear Out
So it's that time of year where I'm making space in my wardrobe's for this season's latest pieces. I'm in the process of moving house so I've decided it's finally time to get rid of those pieces that I'll never again wear but insist on keeping.
Whilst between my best friend and I, we have 6 big bin liners of clothes to take to Charity Stores or to sell at a car boot (it's all about being frugal right?), there are some pieces that are too damn nice to get rid of by one of these means.
To help with my problem, I've recently discovered eBay (I know, I'm like 10 years behind). I've only been using it for two or three weeks but have already ensured that some of my favourite pieces have gone to good homes.
Whilst I've listed plenty of High Street pieces, I've also put up a number of designer labelled pieces, from these gorgeous Marc by Marc Jacobs pumps (which after 4 years I have finally admitted defeat and accepted that they do not fit, to D&G pumps, Ralph Lauren Sweaters, Mulberry Bags and even one gorgeous BCBG by Max Azria dress.
I know everyone is a bit skeptical when it comes to buying designer pieces on eBay but rest assured they are not fakes, just pieces that no longer fit or have never even be worn. Take a look now : Charlotte's Ebay

Fashion Week For The Masses
Well, we don't have to. Today London High Street fashion week kicked off - a week of offers and sneak peaks at up coming high street ranges. Whats more, it accessible to ALL! You can even win free gifts by entering online (today the Chakra bracelet by Daisy). The event is only in it's third year, but with Vogue's Fashion Night Out on the Thursday, this week is already a 'save the date' occasion for many fashionistas.
You can head on down to Selfridges on Wednesday and have a go in the 'Vlogging' booth (a booth where you can video blog about your purchases and style icons) or head down to the plaza on Tuesday where students from LCF will be offering you the chance to get your hands on a piece from the LCF collection.
The event is in an easy to access location, accessible to everyone and free. So head down to Oxford Road today and see for yourself.
