Charlotte Ronson SS 2012

Arguably the least famous of the Ronson siblings, Charlotte is still to fashion what her brother and sister are to music.  He show kicked off with that ever popular mid length and high necklines.  Keeping it feminine but still slightly injecting her signature grunge into the look.

Crop tops appeared to be a big part of her collection, with high waisted mid length skirts, these looks showed just the right amount of flesh, giving the look that boho feel.

Charlotte definitely went for the Victorian look with these high necklines and long length skirts.  Lace and button ups were another key look to her collection.  Like many other we have see the past three days, she also began her collection with neutral, light colours, depicting a more feminine styling than we are used to from her.

We were then introduced to brighter colours, with that orange, yellows and pinks.  The overall look was very relaxed and one which could be worn day to day b anyone.

MBFW Mayhem

The month we have all been waiting for is almost upon us. That's right, in under 12 hours the first show of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week will begin, kicking off four weeks of previews from top designer for S/S 2012 in the worlds four top fashion capitals, New York, London, Paris and Milan (although we all know London's officially the finest :) ).

This year is set to top the rest with the return of Tom Ford and Helmut Langs first show in 5 years. New York will run from Thursday 8th - Thursday 15th, from where London Fashion week will begin.
New York see's 7 full days of over 100 shows from CFDA emerging talent 2011 winner Prabal Gurung to Marc Jacobs.

The week has had various disruptions due to Hurricane Irene with Marc Jacobs moving his show from Monday 12th to Thursday 15th and indirectly causing Bill Bass to move from 5pm of the same day to 12.30 to avoid any possible conflict.

The CFDA also previously announced that all models during MBFW will be required to show valid I.D before walking after it's chairman Diane Von Furstenburg mistakenly hired a 15 year old to walk her A/W 11/12 show earlier this year.

I can't wait to see what S/S 12 has in store for us. Whilst there are over 100 shows, I'm particularly excited for the following....

Fashion Week For The Masses

I know I'm not the only one who is giddy with excitement to see the new collection when fashion week kicks off at the end of this week.  I literally cannot wait to see what the likes of Charlotte Ronson, J Crew and Ralph Lauren have in store for us.  Not to mention  having to wait a further 11 days for LFW to kick off, but really, who wants to wait that long for a major fashion fix?

Well, we don't have to.  Today London High Street fashion week kicked off - a week of offers and sneak peaks at up coming high street ranges.  Whats more, it accessible to ALL!  You can even win free gifts by entering online (today the Chakra bracelet by Daisy).  The event is only in it's third year, but with Vogue's Fashion Night Out on the Thursday, this week is already a 'save the date' occasion for many fashionistas.

You can head on down to Selfridges on Wednesday and have a go in the 'Vlogging' booth (a booth where you can video blog about your purchases and style icons) or head down to the plaza on Tuesday where students from LCF will be offering you the chance to get your hands on a piece from the LCF collection.

The event is in an easy to access location, accessible to everyone and free.  So head down to Oxford Road today and see for yourself.
