Look of the Week: Clemence Posey
There isn't much about Clemence Posey I don't adore, there isn't much about Erdem I don't adore. Put the French actress in a design by the Canadian designer and you have a winning combination. Clemence oozes feminine elegance and a dress by Erdem perfectly accentuates that, in a way, she is the exact kind of women who the brand aim to have wear the dresses. Perfectly teamed with Louis Vuitton pumps, a Valentino clutch and a messy side braid.

VMA's: Best and Worst
There are plenty of awards ceremonies throughout the years and perfectly positioned between the Oscars and the Teen Choice Awards sit the VMA's. MTV are renowned for their highly publicized events and this one really brings out the fun in the outfits worn by the stars in attendance. Here are my best and worst:
Best Dressed
Taylor Swift: Proving that Herve Leger isn't a brand permanently tainted by the likes of River Island and Tulisa copycats, the country singer wowed in her navy bandage dress with a super plunging neckline. Her curls
Allison Williams: The 'Girls' actress chose a demure white number by Valentino. The lace a mini length makes it a perfect transeasonal option and show of her perfect pins whilst her updo keeps the overall look effortlessly chic.
Ellie Goulding: Admittedly she isn't my favourite singer but I can't deny my love for this Amato couture dress perfectly teamed with a pair of Brian Atwood courts. The thigh high split is very Angelina and keeping her hair au naturale and without effort somehow manages to make her look even more endearing.
Worst Dressed
Katy Perry: I don't know what it is about this girl. She is so stunning yet insists on wearing some of the worst outfits known to man. This Emanuel Ungaro number has to be one of her worst to date, mainly due to the fact that it has none of the playful over the top-ness she usually displays with her purple hair and all.
Lil Kim: There are no words. None at all.
Erin Wasson: Where to start. Firstly, the hairstyle is inappropriate for a narcs meeting let alone any form of a red carpet. The outfit? Sheer can be nice by way of panelling, clearly something designer Alexandre Vauthier has never heard of.

SAG awards 2012
They may not be the most prestegious of awards, but the Screen Actors Guild Awrds red carpet is a glamour fest none the less. Whilst nude was the ruling colour at this years Golden Globes, the overall pallete was a lot darker last night with many stars in black gowns, although there was the occasional pop of colour from stars such as Natalie Portman in Giambattista Valli, Michelle Williams in Valentino and Sofia Vergara in Marchesa.
Angelina Jolie led the way for those who decided on LBD's for the night, going back to her darker roots in a flawless black Jenny Packham gown, Emma Stone stepped away from Lanvin for the night and opted for a black Alexander McQueen dress, shoes and clutch whilst Tina Fey looked more stunning than usual in a black vintage Versace dress.
Best dressed of the night? For me it was without a doubt Emily Blunt, doing Britain proud in an absolutely stunning Asymmetric Oscar de la Renta gown with a long side split showing just the perfect amount of her perfect pins.

Couture O'Clock
Hot on the heels of the 2012 menswear shows, today see's the beginning of the Spring Summer 2012 Couture shows. With the official arrival of brands such as Giambattista Valli and Alexis Mabille and the return of the ever in demand Atelier Versace (which we have only seen on the red carpet for the last 7 years) which opens the shows today, the most controversial fashion house of the moment - Christian Dior, will also be showing.
Tuesday will see undoubtedly the biggest names in fashion -such as Chanel, Givenchy and Armani Privé with Valentino and Jean Paul Gaultier following up on Wednesday.
Not that these clothes are anywhere close to what us mere mortals could afford, but they sure are nice to look at, and write about, dream about and so on. With the year the fashion industry has had, this a guaranteed to be a good week.

Advent Calender Wishlist: Day Thirteen
Moving on to Summer 2012 with this piece from net-a-porter. This lace and linen skirt simply scream romantic innocence and is a look straight from the September's runways. The floral detail and neutral colour are typical of Valentino but that's not to say i love it any less.
Wear with flat tasseled loafers and a chiffon shirt for a day at the office, or ad metallic heels and a Mulberry bag for evening drinks.

Payday Purchase
With the current economic climate, we could all benefit from tightening our purse strings a little. The Outnet is without a doubt one of the best online fashion outlets around, and with free shipping on orders over £150 today, there's really not any excuse to get your fingers on those keyboards and get ordering.
Today there is even up to 75% off of Valentino, so spending that £150 to get your free shipping wont be hard.
These studded leather and lace pumps are perfect for this next month, wear them with a simple LBD and go from day at the office to office party in seconds by applying a quick lash of red lipstick (I recommend Armani's Sheer Lipstick in shade 34).
